The Director-General of Kano Metropolitan Agency, Engr Abdullahi Garba Ramat has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC Chairmanship candidate primary election for Ungogo Local Government Area of the state in the upcoming local government elections scheduled for January 2021.
Chairman Election Committee, Umar Muhammad Rabiu, said Engr Abdullahi Garba Ramat polled 451 to defeat Abdullai Dantalata Karo who had 5 votes and Biliya Asasco with 3 votes while other aspirants had zero. Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat defeated 22 other aspirants in the primary election conducted.
Speaking shortly after the declaration, Engr Abdullahi Garba Ramat said the election was clearly contested appreciated God over the victory, the leaders of the party and those that voted for him on the confidence they reposed in him.
His words:- ‘’I am highly elated over the victory due to the landslide victory, that indicated my popularity and acceptability among the people‘’.
Meanwhile, Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat has on Monday obtained the nomination form from the Kano Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) to contest the local government elections scheduled for January 16 2021.
