The Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has paid a condolence visit to the former military administrator of Jigawa State, Lieutenant Colonel (rtd) Abubakar Zakariyya Maimalari over the death of his mother Hajiya Maryam Zakariyya Maimalari.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Hassan Musa Fagge a copy was made available to Hotpen on Monday in Kano, said the deceased was the wife of Late Brigadier Zakariyya Maimalari, former Commander of the Lagos 2nd Brigade.
Governor Ganduje was represented by his Deputy Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, said “I join all Kano People in offering our deepest sympathy to you over the passing away of your mother, we are indeed saddened by this loss.
His words:- “Late Hajiya Maryam Maimalari would be remembered through her wisdom advice for the unity and development of this country, I therefore pray to Almighty Allah to grant her Jannatul Firdaus and gives the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss”.
The statement explained that Governor Ganduje also visited Fagge Quarters to condole the family of a former federal lawmaker, Hon. Danlami Hamza who also died recently.
Hon. Danlami Hamza who represented Fagge Federal Constituency from 1999 to 2011 in the House Of Representatives.
Dr. Ganduje described him a hardworking legislator who contributed immensely in formulating good laws for the country, he prayed that Almighty Allah to repose his soul and bestow strength to the bereaved
family.
