
Eid-el-Fitr celebration: KAROTA deploys 1,000 personnel to control traffic

The Kano Road and Traffic Agency, KAROTA personnel intercepted a Golf Car smuggling parcels of Indian Hemp into the State.
In a statement signed and issued to HOTPEN in Kano by the KAROTA Public Relations Officer, Nabilusi Abubakar Kofar Na’isa, said the operation which took place around 3:30AM (Night) hours on Wednesday led to the arrest of the diver along Gwarzo Road while other suspects believed to be the owners of the consignment managed to escape.
The statement explained that preliminary investigation revealed that a total of 172 parcels of the Indian Hemp worth N30 Million was being convened into the state.
The Agency has however handed over the exhibits to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA for further investigation.
The Managing Director, Baffa Babba Dan’agundi once again called on the general public to assist the agency with credible information that would lead to the arrest any person or group of persons who engages in any form of crime in the state especially on the state roads.
