The Chairman, Jigawa State Local Government Service Commission, Rtd. DIG Uba Bala Ringim has donated school uniforms and learning materials to no fewer than 100 orphans and less privileged children in his country home town Ringim local government.
Speaking during the distribution of the items, Emir of Ringim, Alhaji Dr. Sayyadi Abubakar Mahmoud called on wealthy individuals and philanthropist in his domain to continue assisting orphans and less privileged to improve their livelihood.
Th emir was able represented by Chiroman Ringim, Alhaji Usman Sayyadi explained that, wealthy individuals have a great role to play in reforming the lives of orphans, charged them to emulate the kind gesture of this son of the soil whom the emirate is proud with him.
Dr. Sayyadi Abubakar prayed Allah to reward the donor and urged parents and guardians of the orphans to ensure good use of what they had received, described education as the back-borne of any development and the kind gesture will complement government effort in boosting the education sector.
In a speech, Chief Imam of Unity secondary school Friday mosque, Malam Nasiru Alhassan said, last year Alhaji Uba Bala supported over 100 orphans with uniforms and learning materials as well as tricycles for disabled persons to ease their lives.
