Jigawa state Executive Council has approved over N2billion for the construction of General Hospitals in Gagarawa, Gwiwa and Kirikasamma local government areas.
The Commissioner for Information Alhaji Bala Ibrahim disclosed this to newsmen shortly after the council meeting presided over by Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
He said the construction of Gagarawa and Kirikasamma general hospitals was awarded to Baban Doki general enterprises at the cost of over 698 million naira and 713 million naira respectively , while that of Gwiwa was awarded to Ngloma Construction Company at the cost of over 699 million naira.
Meanwhile the council has approved over 626 million naira for the construction work at the ongoing Kazaure specialist hospital.
Bala Ibrahim said the project include road network, staff quarters, external electrical and mechanical installations.
He also said the present administration has so far constructed three general hospitals and upgraded six others.
