The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has promised to supply Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) with uninterrupted electricity supply.
The Managing Director of the Distribution Company, Dr Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna disclosed this when the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
In a statement by the spokesperson of AKTH, Hauwa Muhammad Abdullahi, Gwamna explained that, as part of his efforts towards alleviating the electricity problem the hospital would be enlisted among the priority areas of the company as well as in the Niger Delta Power Holding Company program.
Dr. Jamilu Gwamna further requested the management of AKTH to provide the list of their technical staff that manage the electricity of the hospital to organize free training for them, aimed at promoting and ensuring efficiency in their work.
Earlier, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe expressed concern on the way the hospital is spending huge sum of money in trying to provide the hospital with electricity.
