Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has approved the recruitment of 45 graduands of Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery Damaturu.
The Governor approved on Tuesday, as he said, this is to improve the manpower required in health institutions in the state entirely.
According to him the 45 midwives who recently graduated from the state-owned College of Nursing and Midwifery, will be employed and posted to health facilities in need of additional manpower.
Governor Buni reiterated that healthcare delivery remains a priority area of his administration and would continue to provide manpower, equipment, and all other facilities required to make healthcare delivery accessible and affordable to the people of the state at large.
The governor charged the potential recruits to be dedicated to their duties and justify their confidence in their new assignment areas.
Buni administration has established about 105 out of 178 targeted primary healthcare centers slated for every electoral ward across the state as he said earlier.
