In an issue of urgent public interest, House Majority Leader and member representing Warawa Constituency Labaran Abdul Madari moved the motion for the invitation during a plenary session on Monday.
The proposal was seconded by Abdullahi Iliyasu Yaryasa, the Deputy Majority Leader and a member representing Tudun Wada Constituency, according to HotPen.
The House overwhelmingly agreed, and Speaker Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari announced the Chairman’s invitation to appear at the House tomorrow, September 14th, 2021.
In a statement, Director Press of the Kano State House of Assembly, Uba Abdullahi, said the house had also received a letter from Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje requesting that members of the Kano State House of Assembly Service Commission be screened and confirmed in accordance with the basic provisions of Section Four subsection one.
According to the statement, the members are: Nasiru Mu’azu Kiru of Kiru Local Government as Chairman, Ishaq Tanko Gambaga of Dala Local Government as Member, Hon Ali Abdu of Doguwa Local Government as Member, Saliu Abubakar of Makoda Local Government as Member, Isyaku Umar Rurum of Rano Local Government as Member, Ladan Sabo Ahmad of Sumaila Local Government as Member, Gambo Ibrahim Mai Wa of Sumaila Local
The screening for subsequent confirmation was delegated to the House Committee on Public Service.
