Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has described the empowerment programme organised by the Senator representing Gombe South Senatorial district, Sen. Bulus K. Amos as a clear testimony of the All Progressives Congress, APC’s determination to uplift the social and economic status of the people.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya gave this indication yesterday at the flags-off of the distribution of vehicles, tricycles motorcycles and other empowerment kits facilitated by Senator Bulus Amos in Bambam town.
He saluted the political ingenuity of Senator Amos for facilitating the completion of the 40- year abandoned electrification project in Dadiya.
He also informed the mammoth crowd at the ceremony that since the creation of Gombe State, no Government has expended much in 2 years to develop Gombe South like his administration did..
To this end, the Governor remarked that his administration was able to construct the age long Bambam-Tula- Yiri road, Kutare to Mona and the Tallasse- Reme- Dong -Degri road to connect Balanga North and South among other critical sectors.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya said his administration will consider the construction of the road linking Bambam to Dadiya so as to enhance the social and economic activities of the people in the area.
The Governor revealed that his administration recently approved the appointment of over three thousand Development Facilitators drawn from across the State as a way of not only appreciating and
giving the youths a sense of belonging but also commissioning them to serve as an interfacing agents between the government and the people.
He called on the people of Gombe south senatorial district and the entire people of the State to remain steadfast to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress, APC under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari which has continually shown capacity even in the face of daunting challenges.
Earlier speaking, the Senator Bulus Amos said the empowerment programme is aimed at improving the social and economic status of constituents of Gombe South Senatorial district.
He stated that through the support and encouragement of the present administration of governor Inuwa, he was able to facilitate the execution of projects across Gombe south Senatorial district. added that the projects so far executed are contained in a compendium for people to verify.
Senator Amos used the occasion to pay tribute to the political correctness of Governor Inuwa Yahaya towards the equitable distribution of projects across the State.
“Some of you here are witnesses to a certain military Governor who once told the people of Tula to vacate their ancestral home if they were to experience any form of Government presence, especially in terms of provision of road. But here you are after so many years of excruciating hardship due to lack of access roads, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa broke what seems to be a myth and constructed a road from Bambam to Tula Yiri”.
He also, expressed confidence that those speculating that All Progressives Congress (APC) will not be voted by Tangale Waja people in 2023 general elections should have a rethink because the party has performed greatly in developing the zone within a span of its 2 and half years of leadership.
The Senator representing Gombe North Senatorial district, Sen. Saidu Ahmed Alkali and some party stalwarts commended Senator Bulus Amos for organising the empowerment programme for the benefit and welfare of the people.
Items distributed include 10 vehicles, 50 tricycles, 100 motorcycles, 300 sewing machines, 100 grinding machines, 100 water pumps for irrigation farming, computers among others.
