Strange Fire Burnt Down Potiskum Grains Market

HOTPEN – A report from ancient town of Potiskum said that, a strange fire has burnt down food items at the popular town grain Market in Yobe State.
According to the report from Potiskum the incident began in the early hours of Friday at about 3:00 am when the fire fighters rushed to the scene to put off the fire and got reinforcement from their Nangere counterparts some few kilometers from Potiskum.
One of the shop owners who gave his name as Alhaji Abubuwa told the newsmen that “I woke up with a phone call that fire has razed down our shops, I rushed and came here to see, I lost hundreds of bags of Maize, Beans, Groundnut, animal feed among others”.
Another victim, Alhaji Danlami said they also lost similar items to the fire including Miling and processing machines.
They appealed to the government to come to their aid. “We lost items, we believe it is as a result of electrical fault, Alhaji said.
