HOTPEN – Fika and Katagum Emirate Councils pledged to join hands to strengthen unity and boost cooperation for further development of the cultural relations between the two traditional institutions.
This came up when His Royal Highness, the Emir of Fika and Chairman Yobe State Council of Traditional Rulers Dr Muhammad Ibn Abali Muhammad Idrissa visited His Royal Highness the Emir of Katagum Alhaji (Dr) Umar Kabeer Umar in Azare town of Bauchi state recently.
Emir of Fika said that the communities of the two traditional institutions have enjoyed comradely and brotherly friendship and established a comprehensive strategic cooperative and economic partnership.
He added that the two sides will strengthen ties, join hands in order to boost the economy of their people, noting that no one can undermine the unity and cooperation between the two communities.
The two sides should push forward diversified exchanges and cooperation between the two Emirates and localities in a flexible manner, educate younger generations to promote the traditional sincerity between the two bodies.
For his part, Emir of Katagum thanked his Fika counterpart for the royal visit which according to him will increase the relations between them and their people.
