Dada Olusegun: Time to Reward Loyalty in APC – Northern Group

HOTPEN – A Northern Youth Group, under the auspices of Northern APC Progressive Forum has called on the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to consider loyalty to party as a prerequisite of electing party officials ahead of March 26 convention in Abuja.
In a statement sent to HotPen by Ismail Adam Alhassan in Kano said “Loyalty to the arty should be an essential element in voting candidates into various positions ahead of the March 26 convention n”.
To this end, ” If loyalty is to be considered, Dada Olusegun must be elected as a Youths Leader having serving the party in various capacity” He said.
Mr Ismail further warned the party against fielding candidates to serve the interest of powerful individuals other than party members.
“We are watching as things keep unfolding ahead of the upcoming party convention. It is based on the undemocratic moves that we began to witness we chose to reiterate our commitment and clearly make our position open and known”.
“We are keenly watching and observing if there is any attempt to sell or bring about individual or group that have no clue, idea or history of party loyalty and declare bid to contest for the position of the Youths leadership”.
“It is important to note that party loyalty and patience has been the bed rock of APC youth and what has been thriving and keeping the youths firm in the party”.
“However, we’re making our intentions clear that Dada Olusegun has the youth’s firm capacity to move the Youth leadership to momentum and all other aspirants from other zones have stepped down In support of Dada candidacy”.
