Yobe Begins Mass Mobilisation On Measles Outbreak

HOTPEN – Yobe state social mobilisation and community engagement in collaboration with the state Primary Health Care Management Board is to embark on a statewide sensitization on the measles outbreak in the state.
The State Chairman of the Committee Hajiya Husna Ibrahim in a press statement made available to newsmen in Damaturu said that the outbreaks call for immediate action by all stakeholders.
Hajiya Husna appealed to all actors including health workers to put all hands on deck towards curtailing its escalation.
She further lamented the report of the cases has been received, adding the government is rapidly responding towards ensuring affordable sound healthcare services to all the state citizens.
“Though the disease is associated with the weather but could be curtailed.
“The committee has held a planning meeting to develop an activity plan towards this.
“The meeting held at EOC has developed key messages for the sensitization on measles prevention.
