FUD VC Appoints Dr. Chinade Director of Academic Planning
HOTPEN – The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutse, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed has approved the appointment of Dr. Sanusi Ibrahim Chinade as the substantive Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance of the University with effect from the 14th of April, 2022.
This was contained in a letter signed by the Registrar, Alhaji Abubakar Mijinyawa. The appointment is for a period of two years.
Dr. Chinade was a two-term Deputy Director, Academic Support, in the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance before he was appointed Acting Director, Academic Planning and Quality Assurance in April 2021.
A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF DR. SANUSI IBRAHIM CHINADE
Dr. Chinade is from Katagum local government area of Bauchi state. He attended Bayero University Kano, University of Maiduguri, University of Jos and Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto for his B.A (English), PGDE, M.A (Literature in English) and PhD (Literature in English) respectively.
His doctorate research won the Dissertation Completion fellowship award of the African Humanities Program of the American Council of Learned Societies (AHP/ACLS) in 2017.
He started his teaching career with College of Education Azare, Bauchi State where he was an Examination Officer and Chairman, Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) of the college.
He joined the services of Federal University Dutse as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of English in 2013. He was a Level Coordinator, Departmental Examination Officer, Faculty Examination Officer, member and later acting Chairman of Anti-corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) of the University.
He was the pioneer Internal Auditor of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Federal University Dutse Chapter (ASUU-FUD) and a member of several departmental, faculty and university committees some of which have earned him commendations from both the 2nd Governing Council and Management of the University.
