Bichi L.G Councilors Suspend Chairman for 3 Months Over Alleged Incompetence
HOTPEN – The chairman, Bichi Local Government, Kano State, Prof. Yusuf Muhammad Sabo has been suspended by the Council Councillors for three months over alleged gross incompetency.
Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday in Bichi, the leader of the Council, Muhammad Rabo Umar Tinki, Councillor representing Kwamarawa ward, said the suspension became imperative given the gross incompetence of the Chairman.
According to him, the LGA Chairman had failed to discharge his constitutional duties in the local government.
Tinki added that the Councillors had been under pressure and fail to defend themselves from their constituents because the Chairman had not performed his duties to develop the Local Government Area.
He added that the suspension followed a unanimous decision taken by the council after due deliberations in the meeting they summoned recently.
“Now he will serve the suspension and the committee set up to investigate the matter will submit its reports and recommendations in due course,” he said
