Walin Kazaure Picks APC Ticket for Jigawa North-West Senatorial District

HOTPEN – Dr. Babangida Hussaini (Walin Kazaure) has won the just concluded primary elections for Jigawa Senatorial District with margin votes of 527.
The election was held at Gumel Emirate Foundation in Gumel local government area of Jigawa state peacefully with the serving Senator Abdullahi Danladi Sankara who announced his withdrawal from the race in a die minute to the exercise.
Announcing the result, Chairman Planning Committee, Hon. Mujitabba Sale Kwalam said a total number of 635 votes was accredited while 605 votes were casted and 5 votes were invalid.
He explained that out of the total votes casted, Dr. Babangida Hussaini scored 527 votes and Senator Abdullahi Ojo Gumel scored 73 votes respectively.
In his acceptance speech, the senatorial candidate, Dr. Babangida Hussaini thanks Governor Badaru Abubakar and the ruling All Progressives Congress APC for given him the mandate to contest while applauding the efforts of party supporters for their commitment and understanding during the exercise.
Walin Kazaure pledged to operate an open door policy if elected as Senator representing Jigawa North-West in the 2023 polls, adding that he will execute meaningful development projects in line with the yearning and aspirations of his constituents.
