NPC Recruits 104,000 Personnel for Census Trial in Jigawa

HOTPEN – The National Population Commission (NPC) Jigawa State has employed the services of 104,000 personnel for the trial census.
The state Director National Population Commission in Jigawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Iro Ahmed dropped the hints in a press release issued to newsmen in Dutse.
He said out of the total number of the recruited personnels it consists of facilitators, supervisors and enumerators drawn mainly from various communities within the selected areas of the state for the exercises through an online recruitment in Jigawa state .
The Director explained that the trial census is to be conducted from 11 July to 24 July and the house numbering will take place from 11 to 16 July followed by validation of Enumeration area frame work from 17 to 19 July in which Enumeration of person will take place from 20 to 24 of July, 2022.
The trial census is to evaluate all aspect of the census operations before the main census on limited scale while the specific objective are to assess the quality of the EA maps determine requisite educational qualification for enumerators estimated .
Alh. Iro Ahmed further revealed that stated that Jigawa state office of the National Population Commission has commenced the state level training workshop for field personnel who are to be engaged for trial census from Monday 27 of this month and 12 day training which is taking place at a new secretariat old hall Dutse Jigawa state .
The participants were drawn from local government areas include Birnin kudu, Dutse, Miga, Hadejia, Malam Madori, Birniwa ,Maigatari, Babura, and Kazaure the participants will be equiped with skills to effectively and efficiently deliver on the exercise
He clearly stated that the trail census will be conducted in one supervisory area in 9 local Government areas of the state with three LGAs selected in each of the three Senatorial districts .
The LGAs that will be covered are Birnin kudu, Dutse, Miga, in Senatorial Districts A while for Senatorial Districts B are Hadejia,Malam Madori, Birniwa and for North west Senatorial districts include Kazaure, Maigatari, Babura.
While declaring the workshop open the federal commissioner NPC Jigawa state office Alhaji Garba A G Zakar reiterated the commitment of the commission to make the 2023 census a resounding success through the adoption of technological innovations at every stage of the process .
He then urged the field personnel to demonstrate professional delligence and partrotism in their conduct during the trial census.
