The Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme Board has paid N1.215 to 550 retirees for the month of July, 2022.
In a statement signed and made available to Hotpen in Dutse by the Public Relations Officer, Office of the Head of the Civil Service, Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse.
Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu revealed that the beneficiaries are categorized into four for the payment of their rights, said, the first category includes 411 retired beneficiaries who have retired from the Service.
The Executive Secretary explained that the amount of over N920,331million was for beneficiaries in that category, and added that, the second category of the beneficiaries are those 100 people that have died while in service and will get the total amount of N267, 329 million.
According to him, the third category of 8 beneficiaries are under the death pension balance and will get N27, 952 million as their entitlement, noted that the fourth category of beneficiaries are those who are not in service for up to five years, the board will refund 8 percent to them amounting to N201,437 thousands as their entitlement.
He further stated that the Scheme has already paid July Pension to the Pensioners to enable them to celebrate the forthcoming Sallah festivities with joy and happiness and called on the beneficiaries to avoid giving bribes to anybody in the process of collecting their benefit urging them to report any of his staffs that ask them for the bribe.
He then commended Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar for his support to the Board for releasing the Pensioners’ entitlement at the right time.
