ASUU Strike: Mr. President Your “Enough is Enough” Is Not Enough
By Sani IDRIS
HOTPEN – Mr. President, your unquenchable love for international trip will never allow you to connect well with what is actually brewing in the education sector, that is why your Enough is Enough will never be enough.
Mr. President, all your children studied abroad because you don’t believe in the system you govern which automatically makes you a non-exemplary leader, that is why your Enough is Enough will never be enough.
Mr. President, your inability to meet with ASUU, the same way you meet APC governors, and legislative members for political reasons due to your high-handedness and disdain for education justifies why your Enough is Enough will never be enough.
Your choice of faulty World Bank software (IPPIS) over a more robust homemade UTAS developed by ASUU as a way of licking back your Local Content Executive Order tells more as to why your Enough is Enough will never be enough.
Mr. President, your lackadaisical attitude and free for all governance is what makes your appointees unaccountable for their actions, thus, mindlessly foot drag MoU renegotiation and implementation, which means your Enough is Enough will never be enough.
Mr. President, the lecturers you denied 5-month salaries for their resolve to help the system and make it work are the ones you want persuaded to resume work. Ahh ahh, in this case, your Enough is Enough will never be enough.
Act now and stop transferring your government’s failure to ASUU, otherwise, your Enough is Enough will never be enough.
