HOTPEN – The North-East Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Senator Iyorchia Ayu as the National Chairman of the party after the resolution of the 79th NEC meeting of the Party.
The Zone thereby disassociate themselves from pressing calls for the resignation or removal of the National Chairman.
This was contained in a statement signed and made a disclosure to newsmen by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) North-East Zonal Secretariat, Bauchi State.
The statement revealed that, “As loyal and committed members of the party from the North East Zone, we wish to re-affirm our unreserved support and loyalty to the leadership of the party under Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu”.
The Zone further pledged their unalloyed commitment and support to the Presidential flag bearer of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and His running mate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
The North East zone however, made a call on all Peoples Democratic Party members and supporters all over the country to rally round all their Candidates towards success at all levels come 2023 general elections.
