HOTPEN – The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa state, Dr. Mustapha Sule Lamido has inaugurated the campaign council for the 2023 general elections in the state.
Speaking during the inauguration, the governorship candidate said the campaign council is the highest advisory body that would steer the activities of the campaign directorate and to perform under the supervision of the party.
Mustapha Sule Lamido demonstrated that the committee is authorized with the obligation of organizing and implementing all the party’s campaign activities for the forthcoming elections.
“you are carefully selected base on merit among thousands of PDP members in the state, but according to your qualities, credibility and hard work, I’m confident you will execute above expectations”.
Lamido upheld that “There are a lot of expectations on you, your job is to work for the success of PDP and all the candidates vying for various posts”.
He added that the committee is expected to work for the triumph of the party’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the Governorship candidate and his deputy, the national and state assemblies candidates.
He further called on the Jigawa PDP to ensure party loyalty and discipline as well as device means to deter any one from being above the party.
Lamido hailed the dynamism and innovation that has been brought into the political activities in the state by the existing leadership of the party and charged the Campaign Directorate to follow suit.
Responding on behalf of the campaign council, Alh. Isa Duniya Bahutu guaranteed the party’s candidate and other members of the PDP of working energetically towards putting back the party to power both at the state and national levels.
