HOTPEN – Kano State House of Assembly has approved the re-appointment of Rabi’u Yusuf Gezawa as full time commissioner for Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission.
Gezawa was re-appointed in a session presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari on Wednesday.
This was contained in a statement signed and made disclosure to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Uba Abdullahi.
Uba Abdullahi added that “The House Committee on Public Petition did not clear Muhd Bashir as part time Commissioner in a report presented to the assembly by the House Committee Chairman, Hon. Umar Musa Gama.”
Similarly, He explained that, the house also confirmed the approval of Education Secretaries for various Local Education Authorities across the state after a joint report presented to the floor by the Chairman, House committee on SUBEB, Hon. Salisu Dan’azumi Muhd.
“The appointees are Sunusi Tijjani Buhari as Education Secretary, Dambatta Local Education Authority as well as Usman Adamu Kutama and Aminu Uba Rurum as Education Secretaries of Gwarzo and Rano Local Education Authorities respectively” Uba Abdullahi added.
The Chief Press Secretary further revealed that, the House also received presentation of progress report by the Chairman House committee on public Accounts, Hon. Salisu Ibrahim Muhammad in respect of Audited Account of the government of Kano State for the year ended 31st December, 2016.
Uba Abdullahi noted that, The House adjourned its sitting to 17th October, 2022 in a motion moved by the Deputy Speaker, Rt.Hon. Kabiru Hassan Dashi, Member Representing Kiru Constituency, and seconded by Hon. Lawan Shehu Bichi, Member Representing Bichi Constituency.
