HOTPEN – The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State, Dr Mustapha Sule Lamido promised to set up Jigawa Education Development Fund (JEDFUND) which will managed independent of government to carter for the proper development of the education sector.
Mustapha Lamido made promise while addressing the meeting of Youth Support Groups in Dutse, the state capital.
The gubernatorial candidate also promised to declare a state of emergency on unemployment when voted to power in 2023.
He described himself as the Bridge between the youth and the elders, added that his government will reserve 35% of it’s appointments for youth and women.
Speaking on the shortage of Doctors in government hospitals in the state, he pledges to build a Medical College at the State Sule Lamido University in Kafin Hausa to bridge the gab in the health sector.
The Governor in the waiting also revealed that, his government will reactivate the Dutse International Airport to create job opportunities for teeming unemployed youth and to also improve the internally generated revenue for the state.
Mustapha Lamido assured of his readiness to tackle all the problems militating against women development head on and therefore urged women and youth to redouble their political enlightenment campaign effort as the campaign has commenced in earnest.
