HOTPEN – Governor Muhammad Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa state has said, the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will officiate the drilling of oil in Jigawa if elected as the next president of Nigeria.
Governor Badaru dropped the hint while delivering his speech shortly after presenting flags to Jigawa north-west APC candidates for the forthcoming general elections, held at Gumel.
“We have a large quantity of oil in our land, and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said, he will drill that oil for your benefit” Badaru stressed.
Governor Badaru who bragged that APC will deliver millions of votes from Jigawa to Tinubu urged people not to listen to the deception from the opposition as according to him president Buhari has set Nigeria on the right track.
He then commended the mammoth crowd for coming en masse to the event, adding that his deputy Alhaji Umar Namadi will never disappoint the Jigawa people if elected as his successor.
While making his remarks at the occasion, the APC Gubernatorial candidate in the state, Alhaji Umar Namadi promised to do everything possible to transform the state if the Jigawa people give him the mandate.
”I want to assure you that with your support, if Allah grants me the opportunity to be your next governor, I will run an Inclusive government with aims to move the state to the next level of development” he said.
Among the candidates that received the flags are Jigawa north-west senatorial candidate Alhaji Babangida Hussaini, candidates of both State and Federal House of Representatives among others.
