The Patriotic Elders Network for Peace and Justice in Nigeria, has while congratulating Nigeria Christian Community on the Celebration of Christmas Season, says, Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, is not part of those whom they are rejoicing with, because of his Unpatriotic and disgusting remarks against Nigeria and it’s Leaders.
Speaking in a statement he Personally signed and issued to Newsmen, the President of the Network, Dr Bature AbdulAziz, said,”apart from Rev. Kukah, the patriotic Elders Network For Peace and Justice in Nigeria use this medium to wish fellow Nigerians of the Christianity faith a Merry Christmas.”
Bature AbdulAziz said, “Reverend Matthew Kukah failed to make it within the people we are wishing this sacred festive greeting, Our primary reason is that we have distant the Reverend from being an Elder statesman, a patriot, and country-loving citizen, for his unguided remarks against Peace and peaceful coexisting of the Citizens”.
He said, the Patriotic Elders said they have taken a huge stand to distance themselves from anybody whose remarks and Comments clearly indicate creating of civil unrest, and hates amongst Citizens.
“We understand that, Reverend Mathew Hassan Kukah is one person who always make statements that are clearly anti Nigeria peaceful coexisting and they are attacks not solutions”.
Bature AbdulAziz, said the Patriotic Elders expected that because of his position and vast knowledge about problems and their solutions, should be helping the government with critical ideas on how to solved.
“We have decided that our position should be against any negative comments regarding Nigeria by any Pastor or Imam, we would do this on anybody regardless of his position in the Society”, the Elders warned.
