The Arewa APC Support group,said it have distance it’s self from a Press release, by what is describe as purported APC Support group last week in Kano state.
Speaking at a Press Conference in Kaduna the Convener of the group Mallam Yusuf Idris Amoke.
Said”It came with great dismay and total displeasure as we received the news of a purported APC support group called APC AREWA CONCERN FORUM claiming to distance themselves from our Presidential Candidate and his running mate,Asiwaju Ahmad Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, with the most laughable excuse of not been carried along in the National affairs of the party.
He explain”The press release by this mushroom-briefcase group which claims to have more than 200 support groups under its tutelage deserves no rebuff, to guide unsuspecting citizens from falling into the devilish trap of this non existential group,we find it necessary to clear the air and place the empty cannon group in its rightful place of oblivion.
Mallam Yusuf Amoke further said”After a background check,we discovered that such a group does not exist and cannot be found on the APC National Headquarters database.The registration number presented was concocted from a forged letter of registration purportedly issued to them by APC National Headquarters Abuja.
“The office address they provided as the location of their Head Office in Kano State does exist but was found to be a tailoring shop.All efforts to identify the signatories on their letterhead have failed to yield a positive result as none of our contacts in both Kano APC and in Government, or the activism realm was able to identify the signatories.
The Convener maintain that ” Also, Calls/Messages placed on the numbers that appear on their letterhead were not responded to We later discovered that it is the usual PDP-orchestrated shenanigan to divert attention from the growing popularity of ASIWAJU and all APC candidates in the North that inspired the jejune press release.
“The North is known for reciprocating kind gestures,hence, in 2023 we shall churn out votes in millions to thank Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the support he gave President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, at the time we needed it the most.
“As responsible citizens who believe in unity and indivisibility of our country, it will be counterproductive if we oppose a power shift to the south, hence, our group stands for a power shift and rotational presidency, hence, we will ensure that agents of one-sided dominance don’t triumph over well-meaning Nigerians who are with us in this journey.
“We as committed, dedicated and loyal APC support groups hereby totally condemn and dissociate ourselves from their assertions. Their opinion cannot represent the general views of the numerous Arewa support groups for APC/Tinubu.
“We are strongly behind the Candidature of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with a great sense of optimism for victory at the polls this 2023 general elections.
“This coalition welcomes anybody that can help us identify the people behind that misleading press release from the kangaroo group.
“We are calling on the security agencies, party stalwarts, and comrades to be vigilant/watch out for more unscrupulous groups like this, that are bent on causing disharmony by trying to overheat the political space using a fake identity, fake information, and fake address election draws nearer.
It’s in our interest to stand for the truth and defend what we believed in Tinubu Nigeria shall be great again.
