His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN (Chiroman Gujba) has Inaugurated the Yobe State All Progressives Congress, APC Campaign Council with a charge on members to forge a common front in pursuit of overwhelming victory for the party at all levels in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
In a statement signed by Yusuf Ali the SSA Digital and Strategic Communications to Governor Mai Mala Buni said this said that, the inaugurated APC Campaign Council includes Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN (Chiroman Gujba) to deputise Senator Ibrahim Gaidam as Chairman Yobe State Campaign Council while Senator Ahmed Lawan, the Senate President, will serve as “alternate Chairman.”
Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, Grand Patron, Alhaji Barma Shetima, the state Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, Secretary, Senator Mohammed Hassan would be the Director-General, while the trio of Alhaji Lawan Shetima, Prof. Bello Kawuwa and Alhaji Mohammad Nguru would serve as deputy director-general for Zones A, B and C, respectively.
Other members of the APC Campaign Council are, Hon. ldi Barde Gubana Dep. Gov. (Wazirin Fune)-Deputy Chairman, Senator Mohammed Ibrahim Bomoi, Vice Chairman, Hon. Tijjani Musa Tumsa, Vice Chairman ll, Hon. Ahmed Lawan Mirwa, Snr. Adviser Legislative Matters, Hon. Aji Yerima Bularafa, Snr. Adviser Political Matters, Hon. Sidi Yakubu Karasuwa, Deputy Director-General Operations, Sen. Alkali Abdulkadir Jajere, Deputy Director Gen. Administration, Hon. Samaila Gadaka, Dep. Secretary.
The Directorate of Women is Hajiya Hajara Lawan while Dr Mairo Amshi and Hajja Godowoli as members. The Youths is headed by Hashimu Mai Lambu
Gov. Buni urged the party leaders and followers to sustain the momentum of peace and unity as the present administration has carried along everyone for the progress and development of the state.
He said, its not fair for anyone to accuse the present administration of tribal marginalization adding that all the tribes in the state are fully represented in the composition of the state executive council and other political appointments.
The governor called on the party faithfuls to work with each other in unity and understanding, to forge a united front to secure a landslide victory for the APC from the presidency down to the state assembly.
In his acceptance speech shortly after the inauguration, the Chairman of the Yobe State APC Campaign Council, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam promised total victory for all the contestable seat in the 2023 general elections and charged members of the party to close ranks and work in synergy for the overall interest of the party, the state and democracy in general.
In his goodwill message, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, the President of the Senate described Yobe State as the pride of APC and vowed that no stone would be left unturned to ensure its victory at the polls at all levels. He urged all the Yobe APC family to work together for Governor Buni to have the highest number of votes for any Governor in Nigeria.
Former governor, Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim also in his goodwill message called on party members to work in unity and understanding for the over all success of the party in the 2023 general elections.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the APC Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Gadaka informed members that the party leaders were carefully selected because of their commitment, dedication and the confidence reposed in them and assured that they’ll work assiduously for the victory of the party from top to bottom.
