The Federal High Court, sitting in Maiduguri had on 9th day of January, 2023 made a landmark ruling in favour of Honourable. Jibrin Mustapha Tatabe, declaring him as the authentic candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Borno Central Senatorial District in the upcoming general elections in February, 2023.
In a press release made available to Journalist by his Technical and Personal Assistant. Aminu Yakudima, explained.
The ruling, which was given by Justice Jude K. Dagat, bring to an end a long-standing dispute within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) over the candidacy for the Senatorial seat.
Jibrin Mustapha Tatabe,who had suffered what the statement describe as a great deal of injustice over his nomination in the PDP, has expressed his delight at the court’s ruling.
He said,”I am honoured and humbled by the court’s decision. This is a victory not just for me, but for the good people of Borno Central who have been yearning for a credable representative who will truly care about their well-being and it is definitely found in me.
“I assure them that if elected, I will work tirelessly to bring about the muchneeded change and development to our their door steps in the whole district.”My great Party, the PDP had also welcomed the court’s judgement and it is ready to
comply forthwith.
Therefore, I call on all party members and supporters to rally behind me and our Presidential candidate,HisExcellency, Atiku Abubakar as committed party men and good leaders.
The statement conclude “The ruling marks a new chapter in the political history of Borno state and it is
expected to be a major boost for the PDP in the Senatorial district and Borno State in general.
