The unified body of Fulani community associations in the state has called on it members to go and change their own non redesigned naira notes to the nearness financial centres as CBN’s deadline close to hit the table.
The body of the associations announced this, while briefing newsmen in Bauchi.
Speaking to journalists after special session with executive members of the forum, the state chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association MACBAN who is also the Chairman of Fulbe amalgamated Forum in the State Alhaji Sadiq Ibrahim Ahmad Matawallen Kardam said that the called became necessary considering the impact of non changing the new naira notes on time to their members that most of them are residing in the rural areas.
He said that although the central Bank has reject the call made by Nigerian to extend the deadline and appealed to them to either buy some assets with their money or change it in order to avoid loosing it entirely.
The chairman of the forum also urged members of Fulani community to open an accounts with the banks for the safety of their wealth.
Alh. Sadiq Ibrahim also use the medium and appealed to the members of community to collect their PVC in order to participate in the forthcoming general elections in the state.
He said that this is a right time for Fulani community in the state to elect the credible leaders that would improved their wellbeing.
