Considering Agriculture being the mainstay of Nigeria’s economy, farmers in Bauchi State have been told to expect support by the state government towards boosting their productive capacities for food and Cash crops this farming season.
Bauchi State Governor Bala Muhammed said that it becomes imperative going by the existing vast arable land and large population of farmers that are capable of achieving the desired bumper harvest for the state and beyond.
Addressing people at a special Royal Durbar organised for him in the Government house by the Emir of Bauchi and fellow traditional rulers, Bala Muhammed reassured farmers that the State Government has approved adequate funds to procure and allocate fertilizer for them to boost their farming activities.
Governor Bala Muhammed promised to consolidate the successes put in place during his first tenure, saying he will continue to build more roads, hospitals, schools and other relevant infrastructure in the next four years.
