The Katsina indigenes residing in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, 33-year-old Sulayman Halilu and 29-year-old Kamilu Alhaji Bala are set for a one-week bicycle ride to Katsina Town for witnessing the swearing in the governor elect Dikko Radda as part of celebrating the handing and taking over of government in Katsina State.
One of them, Sulayman Halilu spoke to newsmen in Damaturu that they have concluded all necessary arrangements for the journey commencing Monday next week by the will of Almighty Allah.
According to him the reasons for the bicycle ride is to go and rejoice with the victory and swearing-in of Katsina Governor-Elect Dr. Umar Dikko Radda and his Deputy Farouq Lawal Jobe as well as Abdullahi Aliyu, member-elect of Katsina state House of Assembly representing Matazu constituency respectively.
He added that “We are very confident that these patriotic gentlemen will adequately improve the lives of Katsina state people in recognition of their track records of performance. Especially Dr. Umar Dikko Radda, the Governor-Elect who once served as Chief of Staff to the Governor of Katsina state, headed SMEDAN and other offices.
“We are therefore appealing to the good people of Katsina state to join hands with the incoming administration for continuity and consolidation to enable the execution of people-oriented projects as well as other democracy dividends.”
