The outgoing Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari has appointed Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua as the new Executive Director of the State Library Board.
Until his appointment, Abdullahi Yar’adua
was the Director of Press to the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Muntari Lawal.
The appointment which is with effect from 24 May 2023 is contained in a letter signed by the Head of Civil Service of the State, Alhaji Idris Usman Tune.
Masari in a statement issued to that effect said the appointment was based on the conviction that the new Executive Director would serve faithfully, diligently and in the best interest of the state, wishing him Allah’s guidance in his new place of primary assignment.
On his part, the Secretary to the Government of the State, Alhaji Muntari Lawal, in a congratulatory letter described the appointment of the new Executive Director, Katsina Library Board as a demonstration of his hard work, honesty and dedication to duty; praying that he would justify the confidence reposed in him by the state government.
Abdullahi Yar’adua started his civil service career with Master Grade III at the Ministry of Education and later transferred his service to Katsina State Radio where he rose through the ranks to the position of a substantive Director.
He obtained B.A English from Al-Qalam University, M.A English Literature from Bayero University, Kano and he is currently pursuing his PhD at Al-Qalam University, Katsina.
