In an effort to cushion the effects of recent subsidy removal on premium motor spirit otherwise known as fuel, by the federal government, Bauchi state government has today commissioned about thirty units of Toyota Hiace buses.
At the inauguration exercise in Bauchi, the state Governor, Bala Mohammed applauded the Chairman of Yankari Express, Alhaji Abdulkadir Baba for conceptualizing the initiative describing him as a patriotic and result oriented citizen.
While appreciating the commitment of the chairman of state transport company, Bala Mohammed mentioned that,the government will continue to eased transportation difficulties in ensuring easy transportation of goods and services in the state.
The Governor also noted that his administration would continue to partner with other agencies to further strengthened transportation activities and enhance economy of the state.
He equally pointed out that good transportation network is the bedrock of all economic activities in any global society.
The Governor assured the management of the corporation of his administration readiness to support them by bringing more vehicles which will stimulate the economic activities.
Also Speaking the permanent secretary ministry of commerce and industry ALH. Mohammed D. Zwall, commended the Governor the gesture noting that electing Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for second term was a great gift from God to the entire citizens of the State.
The event has in attendance Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff, other government officials, members of the state assembly, Royal Fathers, Permanent Secretaries and other notable dignitaries from within and outside the State.
