The appointment of Comrade Mohammed Garba, as the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is absolutely commendable.
The appointment of two term commissioner of information in Ganduje’s administration (2015-2023) is certainly the height of putting a round peg in a round hole. More like doing the right thing, at the most appropriate time.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Kano, the Chairman, Coalition of Northern Nigeria Civil Society Groups, Comrade Abdullahi Muhammad reiterated the competence and resilience of Comrade Garba in defending the ideals of his boss, Dr Ganduje at all times, regardless of the backlash arising from deliberate misinformation by detractors.
In a related development, the group’s Secretary Comrade Muhammad Auwal, opined that, Comrade Muhammad Garba is well suited for the job looking at his antecedents and cognate experience spanning over three decades as a reputable journalist.
The group prayed for the success of Dr Ganduje, Comrade Mohammed Garba to succeed and exceed all expectations in the course of discharging their duties to fatherland and humanity.
