In a statement signed by both Rajab Mohammed, Alhassan Sule Mamudo, Chairman and general secretary of the council said that, Yobe is an agrarian state serving as one of the food baskets of the Northeast sub-region accommodating a large number of livestock herders.
We seek partnership with the traditional institutions, security agencies, farmers and herders groups, stakeholders and other partners in ensuring peaceful coexistence among the communities.
The Union is further calling on religious faith leaders to sustain prayers for bumper harvest, peace and unity.
