A Member of Parliament and United Kingdom’s Minister of State for the Armed Forces Mr James Heappey visited Minister of Defence, Alh Muhammad Badaru Abubakar at his office in the defence headquarters Abuja.
They extensively discussed on how to deepen defence cooperation between the UK and Nigeria and also discussed the coup in Niger Republic and sub Saharan region.
The UK Defence Minister then reiterated the UK’s support for ECOWAS’ ongoing diplomatic efforts to ensure a peaceful return to the democracy system in the Niger Republic.
He then congratulated the two Ministers over their appointment by the president Bola Tinubu which described it as a well deserved appointment.
On his part the Minister of defence His Excellency Muhd Badaru Abubakar commended the parliament member for the visit pointing out that it’s will enhance cordial relationship.
