The National Directorate of Employment NDE through its vocational skills development department has trained 42 participants on community based training scheme(CBTS) for them to be self-reliants in Zamfara state.
Declaring the orientation, induction course and life skills training open, held at Malam Yahaya Gusau federal secretariat Wednesday, the director general of the NDE, Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, stated that, the trainees were selected from all 14 local government areas in the state.
The NDE Director general who was represented by the state coordinator of the agency, Hajiya Hamza Kolo Hadiza hinted that the trainees comprising males and females will undergo training on different skills which included, Knitting, fashion designer, GSM repair, Computer and makeup respectively.
According to her, the 42 participants undergoing the training will be paid N5000 every month each within three months of their training period .
“The trainers will be paid N5000 each for their services per trainee in each month depends on the number of trainees attached to the trainer”. She reemphasized.
She also enjoined trainees to be steadfast in their training where ever they might be posted and to remain committed in the training.
“There will be a routine monitoring and supervision by both staff from the state office and the headquarters to ensure quality training delivery”. She added
Hajiya Hamza Kolo Hadiza cautioned that the Directorate under her watch will not tolerate any act of indiscipline from any trainees, adding that where such case exit she will not hesitate to take appropriate action, including withdrawal of a trainee form of the programme immediately.
In a good will message, the National coordinator in charge of vocational skills development department of the NDE who was represented by Hajiya Lauratu Muhammad Abdullahi, charged the participants to be good ambassadors and pay attention for what they would be given training during the period of their training exercises.
