The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC is terribly deeply concerned about the future of the state and the people under the rulership of the PDP administration being watched and coordinated by Mr. Dauda Lawal Dare as it just got exposed on its misrule by openly destroying the good things done by the immediate past governor now Minister of (State) Defence, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle when the latter served as chief executive of the state.
While as governor, Matawalle aimed to provide dividends of democracy in all sectors of human endeavours from social amenities, healthcare, education to economy, etc.
A PDP member, Kabir Suleiman Imam, on his verified Facebook page while expressing his concern to the future of the state under Mr. Dare in Hausa described how the governor unfortunately issues direct orders to his cronies to destroy anything and everything provided by the Matawalle government in the state.
Recall that the governor had last year directed his party thugs with the support and supervision of some misguided security personnel on allegations that the former governor had converted some government vehicles to his personal property with the gang breaking into Matawalle’s house and stealing his personal belongings including clothing materials. The case is still in court against the governor and his thugs.
We recently raised the alarm cautioning our people over the scrapping of a dual carriage entrance road into the Gusau Cargo Airport on the orders of the governor without any reason and the possibility of the governor going all out to destroy Matawalle’s projects.
All these political vendetta carried out by destruction will, however, not have a direct impact on Matawalle as a citizen of the state but rather on the economy of the state where Mr. Dare’s dark attitude is directing him to waste what have been achieved. Even if he has the intention of rebuilding same, it would be regarded as callousness because the time and resources to be wasted in rebuilding would have been channelled into other viable projects.
As for Kabir Suleiman Imam however, we wish all true Zamfara citizens especially the governor will start looking beyond politics, get good advisers and address pressing issues bothering the state such as insecurity and provision of the much desired dividends of democracy to the people who now look up to him in expectation so that by the time he leaves office, one or two positive things could be referred to as his effort and he might have the effrontery to look at Zamfara people in the face or ask for their favour in anyway just like Kabir Suleiman Imam said.
As for us in the APC, we have done our part by pointing out these threats to Zamfara development being perpetrated by Dauda and his government and we shall continue to jealousy guard our properties provided by the government, whoever tries to touch these things with the aim of destruction like they did when INEC declared their candidate winner after the election should be ready for the consequences that await them.
