Senator representing Jigawa North-west, Babangida Hussain has promised to collaborate with Hussain Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure on skills acquisition for youth development.
Senator Babangida made the disclosure at the commissioning of the newly constructed Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the institute.
He reiterated his readiness to continue to give all the needed support for the development of education in the institution.
According to Senator Babangida, the project was a special intervention from the Federal Ministry of Works highlighted that, the reason principally is about our appreciation of the value and role of education first and foremost, and secondly the technical and vocational training.
Said he:- “Our intention is to work in collaboration with the management of the Polytechnic to design on a short time training program for skills development so that our youth can tap from the available facilities”
Answering questions from newsmen shortly after commissioning of the edifice building complex constructed by Federal Ministry of Works, Rector of the Polytechnic Dr. Sabo Wada Dutse said that, the institution is considering to start offering special vocational and technical training without requesting applicants to show or present any certificate.
He explained that, the program was designed to encourage school dropout and those who were not opportune to attend formal education to have access for technical and vocational training to enable them become productive, creative and self reliance and above all to support growth and national development.
The Rector expressed appreciation to the federal government and Senator Babangida Hussain for their support in moving the college forward.
