Despite the decision of the Nigeria Labour Congress to embark on nationwide strike with effect from Monday midnight, workers in Jigawa state have ignored the strike and reported to their various places of work.

It is in view of this, the state governor Mal. Umar A. Namadi outsmarted Parliamentary Association of Nigeria (PASAN) to present his 2024 budget appropriation bill due to the strike action by the Association.

Governor Umar Namadi presented a budget of N298.14bn as 2024 budget, with 23% increase in the 2023 budget, the budget with a theme “Budget for a Greater Jigawa”.
