The Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has donated a 41-seater Coaster Bus to the Federal University of Transportation, Daura.
The chief information officer of the university, Umar Usman has said in a statement made available to Hotpen in Gusau Friday.
According to him, the Coaster Bus was delivered to the University today, Friday, 12th July, 2024 on behalf of the State Government by the Chief Store Officer, Government House, Malam Bishir Ibrahim.
Speaking on behalf of Katsina State Government, the Chief Store Officer, Malam Bishir Ibrahim informed the Vice-Chancellor and members of Management that he was at the University to formally hand over the Coaster Bus donated to the University by the Executive Governor.
He said that the donation followed a request for Ambulance Vehicle and Students’ Bus by the University.
He informed the University that the Executive Governor would continue to support the University and education in the state.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Umar Adam Katsayal, thanked the Executive Governor for his gesture to the University.
“I would like to inform the general public, staff and students that His Excellency, Mal. Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD has graciously responded to our request and approved a donation of a 41-Seater Coaster Bus to the University.“
“The University had previously sent a request to His Excellency and today, God Almighty has made it possible for us to receive a donation of a Toyota Coaster.“ he said.
The vice chancellor appreciated the Governor for the gesture.
“The University still expects an Ambulance from the state government under the leadership of governor Dikko Umar Radda as it will help us a lot in providing health services for staff and students”, the VC said.
