Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has approved the appointment of Malam Zubair Umar as Managing Director/CEO of Amana Micro-finance Bank.
The Governor has also approved the appointment of Malam Muntaka Ahmed Badaru as Chairman of the Board of the Amana Micro-finance Bank, alongside five (5) others as Director for the board.
In a statement signed and made available to newsmen by the Hon Commissioner of Information and Culture Katsina State, Dr. Bala Salisu Zango, said the Directors appointed for the bank include; Honorable Malik Anas, Dr Bello Muhammad, Dr Badiyya Hassan Mashi, Dr Muhammad Bashir Usman and Malam Lawal Mukhtar.
Malam Dikko Radda then congratulated and enjoined the board to display their expertise and wealth of experience in the discharge of their duties diligently, for the Micro-finance Bank perform efficiently.
Amana Micro-finance Bank is fully owned by the Katsina State Government. With the coming of present administration of Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, the bank is now fully re-capitalized with an additional Eight Hundred Million Naira (N800,000,000.00K) to augment the previous existing Two hundred Million Naira (N200,000,000.00k), to meet the minimum capital requirement of One Billion Naira (N1BN) for state owned Micro-finance to operate.
