The Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board chairman, Prof. Nasir Garba Anka has received thirty pupils who were successful in the recently concluded gifted examination in his office Thursday.
According to the public relations officer of the board, Ibrahim Musa Maizare stated that the pupils were accompanied by their parents, teachers, and coordinators for a congratulatory visit.
During the reception of the successful candidates in his office, the ZSUBEB Chairman expressed his pride in their achievement, stating that the executive Governor considered education top priority alongside security.
Prof. Anka urged the students to be good ambassadors of the state, representing it with dignity and good manners.
He assured the students that the state government, under the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal, would provide all necessary support to further their education.
He encouraged parents to allow their children, especially girls who make up the majority, to seize this opportunity as the government is working diligently for their benefit.
Prof Anka commended the efforts of the teachers and coordinators for their support and commitment, which ultimately led to the students’ success.
In an address of welcome, the State Coordinator of HRH Kabir Dan Baba Women and Youth Center Gusau, Arch Abubakar Abdu Gusau, mentioned that they were at the Chairman’s office to present the successful candidates to him for his blessings.
He also applauded the administration for its historic moment and the encouragement and support it provided to the students.
Arch AA Gusau emphasized that education is the responsibility of all, not just the government, and encouraged everyone to contribute to the development of society.
He called on wealthy individuals and stakeholders to support the government, highlighting the importance of unity for the progress of Zamfara State.
He praised philanthropist Alhaji Sambo Garba Sardaunan Gusau for his support of the program and urged others to follow his example.
The event was a celebration of the students’ achievements, with a strong message of collaboration and support for education in Zamfara State.
