Hopeful candidate for chairmanship Jahun local government in the fourth coming election, Suleiman Abdullahi (Tafidan Harbo) has vowed to strive hard to take Jahun to new heights of development and prosperity, as well as set standards for others to emulate if elected as democratically elected council chairman.
This was contained in an 8-page manifesto of Suleiman Abdullahi Harbo (Tafidan Harbo) Candidate for Chairman, Jahun Local Government, Jigawa State, a copy obtained by Hotpen, it stated the vision, mission, and the 13-point agenda ahead of the council`s election in the state, “a vision of a transformed Jahun Local Government, a vision of progress, inclusivity, and sustainable development.
“My vision for Jahun Local Government is clear: to elevate it to one of the best local governments in Nigeria. This vision is not just a dream, but a commitment to build upon and complement the efforts, projects, and programs of previous administrations. I believe in continuity and progress, and my administration will strive to take Jahun to new heights of development and prosperity”.
According to Suleiman Harbo, his experience spans grassroots politics, beginning with student union leadership, and serving as a member of the APC Governor’s and Presidential Campaign Council, saying this diverse background has given him invaluable insights into governance at various levels. “I have deep roots in our community and a profound understanding of our challenges and potential.
“I call upon all citizens of Jahun to unite behind this vision, together we can make Jahun a model local government in Nigeria, setting standards for others to emulate. Let us embark on this journey of transformation together, for the betterment of our beloved Jahun and the generations to come”. Suleiman noted.
The unveiled 13-point agenda includes the following: Agriculture and rural development, Healthcare, Human capital development, Security, Education, Economic development and revenue generation, Staff welfare and development, Transparent and inclusive governance, others include Information technology integration, Infrastructure development, Social welfare, Environmental conservation, and Intergovernmental relations.
