The Katsina State Government has admonished the indigenous newly recruited police to be good ambassadors of the state at the Police College in Kaduna.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Employment and Promotion, Alhaji Ya’u Ahmad NOA, made the call when he bid farewell to the 340 newly recruited police officers at the Katsina State Command Police Headquarters.
Ya’u NOA explained that, the state government is proud of them, hence the need for them to ensure that they do their best in the college for the successful completion of their training.
He pointed out that the state government is much concerned about the success of state natives in various federal ministries.
The Special Adviser noted that facilitating state indigene during different recruitments is a clear indication of the state government’s commitment to promoting job opportunities among its citizens.
Alhaji NOA highlighted that the newly recruited police officers were drawn from the 34 local government areas of the state, with 10 selected from each local government to meet the requirements of federal character.
While addressing the newly recruited police officers, the Commissioner of Police Katsina State Command, Aliyu Abubakar Musa, charged them to abide by the rules governing the Nigeria Police Force for the successful completion of their training.
CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa also stressed the need for them to be hardworking as the police require dedication and sacrifice to achieve the desired objectives.
Some of the newly recruited police officers interviewed, Shamsudeen Sulaiman Ingawa and Sakina Sulaiman Daura, expressed their appreciation to the state government for its support in ensuring their success.
They also assured that they would abide by the law and show dedication during their training to uphold the state’s good name.
