The Federal University Dutse will enter into partnership and collaboration with AZMAN University Kano in areas of mutual interest to advance the interest of the two institutions.
This was disclosed by the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutse, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed when he led some members of management to pay a courtesy call on the Pioneer VC of AZMAN, Prof. Fatima Batul Mukhtar, his predecessor.
Prof. Abdulkarim said the world has gone global and institutions now promote linkages and collaboration in research and training of students adding that FUD is open to collaboration in areas that AZMAN University needs the experience and expertise of FUD which is older than AZMAN University.
He said it is the responsibility of both public and private institutions to cooperate in the discharge of their duties because the public are the end users of their products.
Prof . Abdulkarim said AZMAN UNIVERSITY is lucky to have attracted the services of a well experienced and committed Academician like Prof. Fatima as Pioneer VC adding her track record of performance will also be replicated in the new University.
He thanked Prof. Fatima for the services and legacies bequeathed to FUD some of whom have been central to success recorded during accreditation exercise in the university especially the medical program.
The Pioneer VC AZMAN UNIVERSITY, Prof. Fatima in her response thanked the VC FUD and his team for the visit, adding that she feels happy because her family members from FUD have visited her new office.
She said AZMAN University will like to partner with FUD in the areas of academic collaboration, staff and students exchange programs, joint conferences and staff training, research collaboration,sharing of Library resources among others.
She thanked the VC FUD for the kind gesture extended to AZMAN University in terms of the release of some foundation staff that helped to set up the university adding that their legal unit will soon present a Memorandum of Understanding to FUD for consideration andG signing.
