In Kano, hundreds of youths gathered at the Emir’s Palace to warmly welcome back Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, who recently completed his PhD program in London.
The enthusiastic crowd thronged the Emirate Council to not only celebrate the Emir’s return but also express their gratitude for making the ancient city proud.
According to Hamisu Dan Thirty, the youths’ spokesperson, “We’re here to set the record straight – there were no boos or stones thrown at our Emir. We’re the ones who came out to give him a hero’s welcome.”
He praised the Emir for achieving this feat despite his busy schedule, saying, “He deserves our accolades and admiration. As youths, we draw inspiration from his accomplishment and will strive to emulate his dedication to education.”
The youths commended the Emir for being a role model and the kind of leader Nigeria needs today. By welcoming him back with open arms, they demonstrated their appreciation for his contributions to the city and their own aspirations for success.
