Katsina State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency says plans of enrolling pensioners into the scheme are under the process.
The Director General of the Agency, Muhammad Tukur Ibrahim Safana stated this during an interview with newsmen in his office.
According to him the effort was part of Governor Radda’s directive to enroll pensioners into the health Insurance scheme to assist them in accessing standard healthcare services.
Alh. Ibrahim Safana further said the effort would support the current state administration’s desire to reduce the burden of healthcare services among the retirees, which made the state first state that include pensioners in the scheme.
He highlighted that the Agency has so far accommodated over 400,000 beneficiaries across the state, which assist civil servants to access with healthcare services delivery.
The Director General pointed out that the Agency committed to protect the interest of the beneficiaries by ensuring every benefiting hospitals carry out their assigned responsibility diligently.
He added that the Agency plan to establish a self service center to enable beneficiaries access the Agency’s activities as well as forward their request.
Ibrahim Safana noted that they would intend to mobilise stakeholders, beneficiaries to discuss the issues affecting the Agency and way forward.
He therefore called on the beneficiaries to forward their request or complain in a right channel for the proper action.
