The House of representatives member Hon. Isah Mohammed Anka representing Anka/Mafara federal constituency has Tuesday launched disbursement of the first phase of Women/Youth empowerment initiative aimed at drastic reduction of poverty to the lowest ebb in his constituency.
Hon Anka stated that he is determined to promote entrepreneurship among women and youths through this program in the constituency with the confidence to uphold and sustain the tempo for further interventions at different phases.
Hon. Anka emphasized the importance of the grant as part of his campaign’s promissory agenda to reduce poverty, spur prosperity, and promote the growth of micro, small, & medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) among women and in Zamfara’s Anka/Mafara federal constituency.
He added that the initiative was “designed to strengthen poverty alleviation and wealth creation, rather than the previous, unsustainable approach of handing out palliatives to a privileged minority.”
Commenting on the development, the Legislative Aide to the Office of the Hon. Isah Anka, Mr. Mansur Shehu Anka, highlighted other initiatives underway initiated by the Honorable Member representing the federal constituency.
Instantiating that food items and kitchen utensils targeted at reducing starvation in his society. Also the cash grant aimed at equipping women and youths, including the Skill Development Corridor, which has trained over 100 youths in various trades, including solar repairs and the use of renewable energy as a source of light for the women.
Mr. Mansur congratulated recipients of the Anka’s Business Wallet and reassured the public that the administration’s best is yet to come.
Honourable Mustapha Muhammad Kimba, Secretary of the All Progressive Congress’s (APC) local government formation, noted that, “One of the benefits of democracy is societal growth. As a democratic dividend, our party makes sure that voters are brought along not only during elections”
He applauded the honorable member of the Anka/Mafara federal constituency for the gesture and wished for more dividend of democracy to the constituency.
Similarly, one of the party’s personality, Alhaji Abba Mai fata, appealed to the beneficiaries particularly tailoring and grinding machines to ensure that they use what they were given appropriately for them to become self employed.
He commended honourable ISAH Anka for the gesture rendered to his constituents.
