Bauchi State Government has directed the engagement of all Public Relations Officers (PROs) and Information Officers from Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to ensure professional dissemination of government policies and programs.
Governor Senator Bala Mohammed made this announcement during the Annual General Meeting of the NIPR Bauchi State Chapter, where he emphasized the importance of effective communication in governance and nation-building.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim, the Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting excellence in public communication and supporting the NIPR’s role in shaping Nigeria’s communication landscape.
According to him The Engagement includes training and capacity-building programs for PROs and Information Officers to enhance their skills and professionalism.
In his address The Chairman of the NIPR Bauchi State Chapter, Alhaji Rabiu Wada, expressed gratitude for the state government’s support towards the successful organization of the Annual General Meeting.
He appealed to Governor Bala Mohammed to provide the institute with a befitting office accommodation to facilitate its activities.
Notable Personalities including the Emir of Bauchi Alh. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, Malam Inuwa Bello, Andy Iheme were recognized with a notable award and induction during the ceremony.
